Lactation Counseling
Feeding support centered on your goals.
There is no single right way to feed a baby.
Mycelia Birth Co. offers individualized lactation and infant-feeding counseling for families navigating breastfeeding/chestfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, combination feeding, relactation, prenatal feeding preparation, and other feeding concerns within the scope of lactation counseling support.
Care should feel collaborative, inclusive, individualized, and centered around the client’s own feeding goals.
Launching Soon. Lactation counseling isn’t taking bookings yet. It opens once my credentialing is confirmed. Join the list and I’ll email you when it does.
Lactation counseling training completed through the Healthy Children Project, with CLC credentialing in progress through the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. I am not yet a CLC, and I am not an IBCLC.
What’s Included
Good to know
Mycelia Birth Co. is based in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. In-person sessions cover Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery, Bucks and Chester Counties, plus Dauphin County (the Harrisburg area), Pennsylvania, and its surrounding counties, including Cumberland. Virtual sessions are available more broadly. The full service area is on the Contact page.
Lactation counseling is non-clinical support. When something needs a clinical eye I will say so, and help you get to an IBCLC or your own provider — that is a handoff, not a dead end.

- 2 follow-up counseling sessions, 45 minutes each
- 4 weeks brief text/email follow-up

Scope & Collaborative Care
Lactation counseling is one part of a bigger circle of care. When something falls outside the scope of lactation counseling support, that’s not a dead end — it’s a handoff. Mycelia Birth Co. may refer to, or work alongside, an IBCLC or another appropriate healthcare provider so you get exactly the level of support your situation calls for, without losing the relationship you’ve already built.
Breastfeeding & Chestfeeding Prep
Learn how lactation works before you’re learning it on no sleep.
A more in-depth prenatal class focused specifically on lactation and human-milk feeding — so the basics feel familiar before your baby arrives, not brand-new at 3 a.m.
