Accessibility Statement

What I aim for

I aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA wherever that is reasonably possible. This page is not a claim that every part of the site fully conforms: it is a small, one-person practice, and I describe below what has actually been checked.

What has been checked

These were checked on September 22, 2026, in an up-to-date browser, across the site’s pages:

• Keyboard. Every link, button and form field can be reached with the Tab key, in a sensible order. The Services and Community menus open with the Enter key, and Escape closes them and returns you to where you were. The phone menu works the same way.
• Skip link. The first thing the Tab key reaches is a “Skip to main content” link, which appears when focused.
• Visible focus. Whatever has keyboard focus is outlined.
• Structure. Each page has one main heading, headings follow in order, and pages are marked up with a header, navigation, a main area and a footer, so screen readers can move around them.
• Forms. Every field on the contact form and the newsletter forms has a visible label, and required fields say so. If something is missing or mistyped, the newsletter forms explain what to fix in words (never colour alone), mark the field and move you to it; the contact form stops and takes you to the first field that needs attention.
• Images. Photographs and meaningful images have text descriptions; purely decorative artwork is hidden from screen readers.
• Colour contrast. Body text, links and buttons were measured against their backgrounds and meet the AA contrast ratio (4.5:1 for normal text); most are well above it.
• Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, smooth scrolling and the menus’ animated transitions are switched off.
• Screen sizes and zoom. Pages reflow without sideways scrolling on screens 320 pixels wide and up, including at the equivalent of 200% browser zoom, and buttons and menu items on phones have large touch targets.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is ongoing work, not a box ticked once. New pages and blog posts are checked as they’re added, and this page is reviewed when the site changes.

If you need anything on the site, including a downloadable guide or workbook, in another format, ask and I’ll help.

Third-party content

Some parts of the site are provided by other companies, and I can’t control or fully test how accessible they are:

• the Google Calendar appointment page used to book an Introductory Call (also embedded on the contact page);
• Stripe checkout for shop purchases and invoices;
• Cloudflare Turnstile, the spam check on the contact form;
• Instagram, Facebook and Google, where my social media and business listing live.

If one of these gets in your way, tell me and I’ll find another way: I can book your Introductory Call by email or phone, send an invoice another way, or take your inquiry directly.
